NSWC is looking for a few good volunteers to help from time to time with our programs and projects.

Volunteers must be 19 years of age or older and can follow directions/instructions. It is also important that they can work well within the group and independently.

Some of our projects will require us being on a boat, therefore, it is important that any volunteer that would like to participate is comfortable with being in a boat on the water. To be exact the Narrows, Kill Van Kull, Lower Newark Bay specifically.

Participants must have good research, analytical, writing and computer skills and excellent follow up skills. They must also be able to use camera and/or filming equipment, or at least are willing to be trained. Not to mention fill in as needed.

Flexible schedule is welcome.

A resume, 2 letters of recommendation are required, as well as a brief cover letter telling us why you want to help the North Shore of Staten Island become climate change resilient.

This project can also be combined with any college or university's internship program.
